when we're helping, we're happy...

And doesn't he look happy..... Max watched me pack up some of his books. He didn't really react much. But when I left the room he started to go through them. The ones he wanted out, he would say, "no no no mama" and put it on the floor.

our new addition

I love being home and actually being able to get a few things accomplished without being so tired! Anyway, we finally found a car.... we picked it up today. We can now fit 2 car seats.... and there is leg room! It is a 2005 Nissan Altima. It is a green color but you can't really tell here.I also found us a place to live in AZ, found out for SURE that I can give birth there (insurance issues..), got our land in the works of being split (okay Brian did that, I just turned in the paperwork, we are keeping a few acres), and Brian got his car sold. Okay so he sold it the other day, but isn't it nice when things start to fall into place. So if you want a car to buy, I have a great Nissan sentra...good shape, just small..... I am finally getting the house cleaned up and packed...crazy that our lives are about to change so much!

the park has become a 2nd home...he has no fear!

gotta LOVE the wagon rides!

Grandma Deleas

This is Brians Grandmother. She is 87 years old and living with Kent and Karen. I got to know her alot better while living with Kent and Karen for those loooong 3 weeks (just kidding Karen!). There were actually many perks to living with parents, such as being able to leave whenever and work on the house due to a willing babysitter at all times. I only cooked maybe 3 times in 3 weeks. Max had many spaces to explore, and many kitchen items to plug in.... It was also nice because now max knows his great grandma. I realize living 5 minutes away, he should know her, but you get to know someone better while living with them. Max does like to tease her and I think it hurts her feelings at times. He likes to say "no no no no" to everything, including Grandma kisses.....

Brian is leaving??!!!!

Brians work gave him a going away party before everyone left for the summer. He will be working until August but not very many people with the school district do. Everyone knows that he is staying home with our babies while I am in class so they gave him all of the necessities for being "Mr. Mom" in our new hot town! My favorites were the tool belt filled with diapering equipment and the speedo. Sorry there is no picture of that! :) He had fun and wasn't expecting anything. I think he now feels appreciated. Gotta love schools for being grateful for you on your way out! ;)
These are the techies responsible for the party.
Us with our families that work for D251...well, I don't but the rest did or do!

Max thought he was the center of attention through most of this. He is such a daddy's boy, well unless he is hurt or mad or sick....
I have to admit that I wasn't sure if I should attend the party. Many people make comments to our mothers about how angry they are at me for taking him away. My mom got so tired of hearing it that she now nicely points out that there is a school right here and if they paid Brian what he was worth, then I would go there. That shuts them up. I adore my husband and I know many people do but it was nice to see how many people do love and appreciate him. I take him for granted way to often!

Schools out!!

these women are a few of my very favorite people! there is one missing due to a wrist surgery. these women made work so much fun everyday. they are life long friends that i will miss everyday! they also spoiled me with goodbye gifts.

Passwords passwords...

Do you ever feel like you have so many passwords that you can't keep it all straight?? I had a hard time signing in right now due to putting in my school then book order password!

I am once again avoiding work that needs to be done while my kids are in music. :) The cabinets were supposed to go in yesterday...hopefully they get in today! This week has been better as far as projects because it is just odds and ends we have to finish up until the cabinet guy is done. i should only have a few more days of stress at work then we will just play. did I mention that I only have 8 days left?? Crazy!

Someday i will get to my computer and add some pictures!

Life has been so crazy lately that I haven't even had time to read everyone else's blogs, let alone update mine! Also, my computer at school often blocks blogs but it didn't today, so I thought I would read a little and add some....so much for the mounds of paper work!! ;)

We are currently living with my in-laws. We moved in last Friday and were only going to be there for 4 days.... we are in the middle of remodeling our house. We lived for one week using paper plates (killing any ideas of "going green"), and the bathroom sink. Then last Friday we ripped the bathroom to pieces (a project I have been DYING to do for 5 years) so we lost our only toilet and sink. That is when we moved out. Living with my in-laws has been very nice, we are ready to go home but it really has been very handy. We have a babysitter that always wants Max and we live so close that it is easy to go back and forth.

So far we (meaning Brian, I am not much help at all) have retiled the kitchen, torn everything out of it, sheet rocked the walls, torn out the bath and tiled that, and painted. Now we only have to do one more coat of paint in both rooms and hang bead board in the bath. The bead board is to hide some more bad walls. Brian is tired of tearing things off walls to find that the lady we bought the house from put thing up to hide bad walls. So now we are hiding a bad wall, but it will at least look good! ;) The roofers are finishing tonight... the cabinets were going in on Monday but now they will go in next Wednesday. Our Bathroom will be put back together in the next few days and we will clean up. So by next Thursday the inside is almost done!! All except the base boards and a few window frames to paint. Then we get to get the grass in!

Brian is such a great husband and hard worker!! We usually do a big project a year and then we are tired and take a break. But now we have to finish what we started before we sell, and we want to get more money out of it in the end. So we will put it on the market in May or June. Some projects are a pain, the roof, because it needed to be done at least a year ago, but we just didn't do it. So now, it won't increase the value but is going to start leaking any minute..

I will post before (5 years ago) and now pictures when he finishes,

Work is also crazy for both of us because it is the end of the school year. Normally this time of year we both work late and then want to crash. Poor Brian does not get to crash! I am pregnant and my body stops working after so many hours, so that leaves him to do more. I really don't know how I scored such a great catch, I do worry lately if he will stick around...

Only 15 more days of school and 1 week of home craziness!! Then life can almost calm down...

Max is still darling...doesn't really understand why we live with Grandma, but she has lots of cookies!
