Rebecca came to visit for way to short but a fun time after I had Zeke! We have never seen each others children until they are older. She has 3 little girls and is having another baby in May.
It was a fun and relaxing few days. She was great help and even took a early morning shift so we could sleep.
LOVE her!

OH Christmas tree....
When we were newly married and living in Idaho, Brian and I cut down our own tree every year. They were not always perfect but it was always fun and made for good memories. In AZ we didn't do that, it was too far to go. Now we are close to trees again and picked up on our old tradition. This will be a memorable one for sure!
The kids thought we were nuts but soon joined in the fun. No snow yet so we just drove and watched off the side of the road. With a new baby we figured we wouldn't be hiking much. We found a wonderful tree within a few minutes. But it can't be that easy so we decided to keep looking. Two hours later we returned to the perfect tree and cut it down.
But it was way to big to put on our Pilot. So we decided to put it out of the way and go home and get the truck. As we were pulling away, a truck stopped in the area of our tree. We stopped to make sure they didn't take it. But they drove off so we thought, "who would steal a tree anyway."
We were tired. Zeke was upset, it was dark..we decided to go in the morning to pick up our tree.
We left in enough time to get the tree and get home for school. BUT the tree was gone. GONE. STOLEN. It had to be those people in the truck. They would have been the last to see it! We were shocked. Didn't know what to do. I laughed, a lot. What else could you do really?
So we had 20 minutes to find a tree before we had to head back to get Max to school. It was comical but we found one...
It was not as perfect as the first one, the stolen one.. but it was going to have to work.
After being trimmed to go into the stand..we realized the great tree we had gotten... well okay so only the top 2/3 was great..
The back and side may or may not have been missing a few needles...
I admit I still laugh when I look at it! But hey what a great memorable moment. It did cost us more then if we had just gone to the store and bought one... the $10.00 permit plus who knows how much in gas has been worth the giggles I have whenever I look at it...
