videos for Grandmas

Trapped in the house...

GAMES GAMES GAMES! That is our new favorite activity to do, even if Max isn't looking to thrilled...that is due to a fever of 103, not the activity.
Lily LOVES her tutus!

She also LOVES stuffed animals...she sleeps with 4, yes 4! She is my daughter....

Happy 33rd for me!!

I turned really old on the 20th of this month! I was spoiled with yummy food and gifts. The U2 concert months ago was for my birthday. The kids also go me some great slippers and I got new pants and some books....The cake is actually carmel brownies which are TO DIE for, which I will probably die soon due to I ate most of the pan myself...

Backyard Campout

A few weeks ago Brian set the tent up in the backyard for a camp out. They had a great night until around 4 when they came in due to the cold. We were planning a fun night of roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and then camping out, BUT since that first night, we have all taken turns being sick and it has been RAINING non-stop for a week. The weather has been a fun change, but the sickness has to end soon!!

Desert Mountain Drive

Brian got a clay pigeon shooter for Christmas so we went for a drive in the hills to find a place to use it. We had a fun day seeing new country and throwing rocks! We found lots of places for him to shoot guns and to drive our 4-wheeler.

New Years Resolutions...

Okay, so I am a big goal maker, just not the best goal keeper or reacher... I AWAYS have a to do list... but I am very FLEXIBLE about getting it all done. LOL Some may call it something else, I like the idea of flexibility... anyway, I used to write great New Years Resolutions. Not this year though. I don't see the point in writing down what I am already working on... spend more quality time with my kids and husband, get in better shape, eat better, do good in school, keep the house clean, read my scriptures... you get the point right? But last Sunday, after running around naked while trying to get everyone and myself dressed and ready for church, i came up with a resolution. If you know me well, you will understand. So my goal is to not let my kids (or neighbors) see me naked on a daily, or many times a day basis. This may seem odd to some of you out there...but don't you get out of the shower and air dry while you do your hair and makeup? And sometimes you need to grab something across the house? and often you don't realize the blinds are open.. and your 3 year old is always asking questions about nakedness...
This brings us to TODAY
The kids are sick and have been for a few days. I didn't feel well yesterday, but I am fine today. Yesterday I was wanting to take a bath but when the time came that I could, a nap sounded better. So today I told all I was getting in the shower and needed some privacy ( good job working on my resolution, Max used to lay on the floor and "watch" me shower, even though the curtain was closed). This was responded with many comments of not locking the door, don't close the door, blah, blah, blah. So when I got into the bathroom, door closed but unlocked, I decided a bath sounded better. So I got in, got a magazine and started to relax. About 3 seconds later the oldest child enters. I explain why he needs to leave. After many questions; do I need a cup to wash my hair, why am i reading, am i going to shave today? He leaves. I think I will be alone now. Nope. The darling 2nd child is learning how to open doors and in she comes. She thinks it is funny that I am in the bath....
So I yell for Brian to save me. He comes in laughing, and closes the door. LEAVING THE CHILDREN! Now that the relaxing is over, and the resolution is ruined! I decide I should shave and at least entertain them...
Brian is in trouble but says that is what I get for sneaking in a bath... maybe tomorrow the resolution will go better....Do you all get why I made it now?

17 months going on 3

I took Lily to her well baby check yesterday. I realize usually you don't go at 17 months but you do when you get behind. LOL So she is tall...and skinny?? I don't think the nurse checked the right child! She is in the 25th percentile for height and 5th for weight. I laughed and the Doctor agreed that she is chubby enough not to worry about her being small. And let me tell you the girl can eat! Lily is sooo comical lately! She thinks she is the same age as Max and expects us to treat her that way too. She LOVES to tease and often grabs something and runs away with it laughing. It isn't always fun and games, but still usually pretty funny. Yesterday she decided she was done with her high chair and needs to join us at the table. We are not ready for her to be big, but she has never let our opinion get in her way! The kids got towels for Christmas and Max got a monster towel while Lily got a butterfly. Lily thinks she is a monster and makes a growling noise every time we put her in her towel. She is so fun!

Our lily...

So Lily had a rough Christmas morning (remeber the tea set instead of bike). She opened a gift from her Aunt Tisa that she was happy about, a purse filled with chocolate. She put one in each hand, waved good-bye, and went to the door. She was done and leaving. gotta love her spunk!

Our Very Merry Christmas

My parents and brother Matt came down for the holiday! It was so fun to have them join us! On Christmas Eve we ate a big turkey dinner and went to the Mesa Temple to see the lights. (these pictures do not do the lights justice!)

Christmas morning was so fun with the kids! Santa brought Max his "big bike." He LOVES it.

Here is Lily also loving it..poor girl, she wanted a bike, who knew? She was so excited to sit on it and very upset when Max did. But did Santa really think a singing tea set would compare to a bike that is too big to ride?
Max is our fix it guy and received lots of tools this year. It was funny because every gift he opened he wanted to play with it for a while before opening another one. This must come from his Dad because his Mom is way to selfish to wait!
Lily loves her tutus...and this bell...she has worn it for a month.
After a few hours of disappointment, Lily decided her bike would be fine. Poor girl, me and all of her gift givers thought she really wouldn't care what she got. She got a lot of darling clothes, but not so fun to open! I should have known that she would have opinions, she thinks she is older then she is!

We spent the rest of they day eating left overs, playing games, watching movies (on his bike) and some of us adults went to see a movie. It was a fun day. Yes he is wearing shorts on Christmas...
I hope you all had a great holiday too!!

LOVED THIS

I have wanted to read this for a very long time and when I finally started it, I couldn't put it down. It is great! So fun and morbid.... and the reason that I haven't updated my blog....
