catch you up on our life's moments...

We hung the swing in the garage to make it through this long cold winter....

Max is becoming very independent. Here he is feeding himself applesauce.

Max LOVES books. He still has his favorites but he wants us to read to him all of the time!

This is definatly a favorite moment.... Max loves to play with Mt Dew cans. He can sort them out of a box full of other kinds of pop. He always wants his Dad's, so Brian poked a hole in the bottom of a can and drained it. It became Maxs favorite toy! (WHy do I still buy him toys???)Anyway, one night he wasn't giving it up. I put it to bed with him. An hour later he had traded his giraffe for his good old mt dew can! (Don't be alarmed with his PJ's, it was a late night so I put only bottoms on, with the shirt he had worn that day...poor kid!)

So it is obvious who and what our lives revolve around!!! Brian is still working away on computers.... I am still teaching.... I have been studing and finally took the GRE (GRaduate REcords Exam) I apparently did NOT study enough!! I did horrible!!! I did way better on all of the practice tests!! I actually can probably get into most schools, just not ISU. BUt we aren't sure that is where we want to go....I may retake it , UGHHHHHH, we will see. We will keep you posted! Besides getting ready for Christmas, nothing else has been going on!!

Finally he has learned how to not die on the stairs...

After 2 very, very long days at Grandma Dursts house, and after everything he could lift got thrown down the stairs....he finally learned to go up and down without help! He learned to go up months ago, but with lack of stairs in our house, going down was alot tougher! Mostly for mom....
PS He fell down these stairs for the first time on Christmas night....very sad! He was terrified but lived... I am nervous all over again...

Oh Christmas Tree, oh Christmas tree....

We have a family tradition of cutting down our own Christmas tree. It is always fun and we just never know what we will find!! This year my brother, Matt came to enjoy the hunt with us!

TADA!!! We found it!! We must admit it is not the best one we have gotten....actually we laugh at it often. But it was fun and it took real talent to decorate it. You know, the balacing act so the tree doesn't fall due to heavier ornaments on one side...

I just wanted to point out the very cool haze in all of my pictures... that is what happens when little finger prints get all over the lense and the photographer does not notice....

He was not a very good trooper!! I only have this picture after because I had to hold him. And everyone in the salon was busy. He refused to wear the cover, I had it on but we were both covered in hair!! Rainy (stylist) bribed him with crackers at the end...then he liked her.... He is a little handsome man!

We spent this Thanksgiving with the Dursts. It was a nice day. A few days before Scott brought his family from Oregon. It was fun having them here. I am unsure why I have no photos of thier visit! They spent Turkey day with Bridgetts family in Utah.

what will i do when he is 16......

max was so funny today at lunch. I go eat with him everyday. Well, he is usually done eating, and so we just play. But today i was changing his diaper (he is nice to wait for mom before he poops) and he found his chapstick in the diaper bag. I let him play with it while I changed him, but due to being a chocking hazard I took it away. Well, that made the little stinker very upset!! The kind of upset that he throws a tantrum, lays on the floor and fake cries (I know only 1 year old!!!), well, I don't give in to these so he finally lost interest and found a new game. It was called, tell mom to leave!! It was sooo funny! He would take my sweater that I had taken off, and kept trying to get me to wear it. When I didn't want it, he would take it over to the door. I thought maybe he wanted to go with me...nope, he just wanted me to leave!! What is his school teaching him!! I was laughing so hard and thought i would cry!! But he lost interest in that game also. When it was time for me to go he had decided I was okay and he didn't want me to leave. Funny boy!!! I am thinking we just hit the "terrible ones!"
* Okay so I have found many words in this blog that seem to be spelled very wrong. But it is not noticing them! so sorry if you can't even read it!!

my little reader

So I have always read to Max but the last few weeks he has fallen deeply in love with these two books! which are very good choices, although we are very tired of them!! He tries to get us to open the closet and he can now find them. He has his routine on which pages to touch, but mainly just sits back and enjoys. He used to say "BA" for book. But that is now only ball. He has started to say, "BEA" which means bear, he always says it when he sees this book!! Also, BAUGH, for book. Okay so I have not a clue how to spell how he says them but you get the point! And if you don't, the point is I am soooo glad my baby loves books but the main point is HE IS NOT ONLY SO DANG CUTE TO LOOK AT BUT HE IS SOOO SMART!! I am allowed to say that because this is my brag spot!!! So don't gag...just smile! :)

sorry all, i know you are all just dying to know what is going on in our life!! Just kidding, only Matt and my Dad really read this, so too you both, I am sorry! I have no reason. Lots to add, just haven't taken the time lately.... Lazy girl, i just want to relax when I am not running! I will get back to blogging soon! :)
