Hike down

It is a 8 mile hike down to the town of Supi.  We left later then planned but due to recent rain the weather was perfect for hiking.
I made very bad shoe choices and had blistered feet instantly. It was horrible.

It was beautiful. Of course the pictures don't look like it was.  It was also fun to visit and catch up. we miss living by these two!

Our anniversary get away

Months ago we decided and started looking for some romantic 10 year anniversary get away.  somewhere relaxing but with activities also...we were thinking Caribbean or Cruise... BUT we have a baby. A baby that I can't leave for as long as we wanted to enjoy somewhere..
We already had babysitters so we decided to go somewhere close and just for a few days. We decided HAVASUPAI, AZ.
So the obvious choice was to bring cousins who share the same year anniversary as us. Who needs a romantic get a way at 10 years....
Kent and Karen arrived Tuesday. Wednesday was spent packing and getting a HORRIBLE and way to SHORT haircut. (okay so it is nice in heat, but wow, I could go on but I will spare you all the drama, just know that it took too long and she didn't do as planned..)

We decided to stop in Vegas and eat dinner

And try to earn a little on the side..

We stayed the night in Kingman.  It was not the nicest hotel but it did offer some laughs...

I could not have found a better person to be married too! He is my perfect match and I would not function well without him!  I didn't spend time looking for the perfect pictures of us. I just went to all of the years in July...some I could only find with our children. I am making it a goal to take our picture every anniversary. Even if it is just at home.  But these do demonstrate our lives well.  I could not be happier, he is wonderful!
I do realize that I don't have 2013... but thanks to blogger it wouldn't upload.. thats ok because there is a very long post coming on this years celebration

DRMC 100 years!

The hospital that I work at has now been in service for 100 years.  They had a carnival one evening.  Lots of great activities but only a few pictures.

Max wanted a big bear face. "A scary bear, mom."  I still smile at the look on his face when he saw his cute teddy bear....

July 4th

I had to work on the 4th. We were all exhausted from the few weeks prior so everyone slept in.  We did have a little BBQ. The kids and Brian went to the park during the day after eating lunch with me.

They went to the rodeo the night of the 5th and 6th. They had a great time. The pictures are difficult and only added for memory sake but they are of Max in the chicken catching contest. He loved it!
