Random august activities

We swim often.... Max has improved so much this year that he now can go off the diving board at one end and swim across. He also fell in love with the slide. This is the pool at my brothers house.

Lily got this darling dress to match her doll and is in love!

We still love dress up, even if it is just boots...
It has been  a busy and fun summer..... now if the heat would calm down we would be ready for September!!

Max starts KINDERGARTEN!!

Max was thrilled to start school this year.  He goes only half day (which I love) and he goes in the afternoon (which we hate).  He has an EXCELLENT teacher, one who has taught KINDERGARTEN for 26 years. If you have spent time in schools you know she is a saint. She does not seem burnt out and so far I love her for her expectations with developmental levels...I taught for too long to not have strong opinions...


He loves it, he is making friends and he is excited to go every day.  He has no idea that this is the beginning of many many many years of school....but we can hope he finishes before his parents did! LOL

Lily starts preschool

I can't believe my kids are growing up so fast!! Lily started preschool at our rec center. It is an awesome program that includes weekly gymnastics and karate.  One day a week they rotate between swimming, cooking, rock climbing, kids zumba and who knows what else. She loves it and we hope she learns a lot and enjoys herself!

Lily is a lucky girl

 Brian made this doll crib for Lily for her birthday. It is darling and she loves it. He did it all himself, except the bedding was made by my mother. Lily picked the bright pink color!

Lamar Dursts visit Springville

 Nick and Michelle and kids were visiting their parents in UT the same time we were in ID. We left ID a day early to spend some time with them. WE MISS THEM SOOO MUCH!



Nick gave Max this head band from his Karate days..Max thinks it is the coolest thing ever. (He had a bloody nose here)

It was so fun because the Ryan family joined us for dinner.  It is so fun to see a few of our friends from AZ!!

 Michelle had a baby girl, Avery, last fall. I fell in love and admit to wanting a girl now...drama and all.. :)

It was fun to see the kids pick up right were they left off a few years ago when these Dursts moved.  We hope to live close to them again someday!!

Family party for Lily

We decided to have a BBQ in the park to celebrate Lily turning 4. Both sides of the family came and the Bazil family. It was nice to have everyone come and fun to visit.

Pool time with family

 We went swimming with both sides of the family. It is nice that they all get a long!  We decided with these short trips doubling up with family time is easier.
This pool is in Rexburg and it is so great!!
