Random moments

Play dates with cousin Emmy

Dressing self...I decided I need to take a picture of all of her outfits...love my independent girl.  She is following my rules...long sleeves and leggings or tights under dresses for school.. Or fleece but it is pink so of course it works

Can't take or post a picture of one and not the other.. yes they are sitting right here....

Just look and find the good looking eyes and you will still find my very attractive husband underneath his Duck Dynasty look...

Friends

My darling chunky 3 month old

Zeke found his hands this month. He also loves to hold and snuggle with burp cloths.  I haven't weighed him but he is full of rolls and we are in heaven with how cute he is. He has started to only get up once in the night and it is often after 4:30 am.

the woes of motherhood

I used to laugh because however I cut or styled my hair (Long with bangs, or short with no bangs) Lily would end up with the same style. The picture to the side shows and example... Although the color was always different, since she is waaaay lighter then the rest of us..
I finally ended up going really short, Lily has a bob, and we are no longer matchy matchy.

So instead I match my boys...

I don't think that is a good thing... LOL I do know other moms with the same problem that makes it a little better? right?

Happy Valentines Day!

The Sunday prior to Valentines Day we made cookies.  That isn't anything special but this time instead of hearts we did Pirate cookies. So fun! Jena's sister let us use her new cutters.  Why we have no pictures of the cookies or Emmy participating is the question of the day.... but she was there and it was fun!

On the actual day, we ate heart pizza at the Huntingtons house and the kids played.
The kids made valentines this year. It was fun to give them an idea and print something and they did the rest.
We made a bag with a chocolate kiss and gum balls with a tag that said, "blow me kisses Valentine"
The kids have also made us many many many valentines. They love art. Brian got me perfect tulips. We just did treats for the kids. I actually had to work this day.
It is fun having the kids get into holidays.

My BLUE eyed boy...

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. this smile!

A day with BUBBLES

Kindergarten has a new pet. He gets to go home with each student on a day when they, "maintain control all day." It makes me laugh how well Max quotes his teacher.  A book goes home with bubbles to put pictures and write about what was done. Here are the shots with Max and his friend.

I wish we would have gotten a picture of the story Max wrote in his book. It was darling. He loves to write stories.  He can't spell many words on his own but he sure tries and it is so fun to watch!

We finally let Max walk home alone. We live across the street but it is crazy busy.  We practiced a lot. He was ready and it is very convenient   Max saw me watching him this day and ran to me.  I know someday he will lose his love for us in this way but I want to eat it up now!

New company!

My Aunt Kathy and her daughter Nicole came into town for work. I was able to spend an afternoon and evening with them. It was fun to see them!

I was horrible taking pictures but here they are at the St. George narrows.

A few random moments in January

Max planned a family night. He decided we needed to learn about emotions. Happy and sad. It was great.
Max became a pro cup staker

Lily saw how great it could be to teach a family night. So she pulled out her octopus from school and taught us ALL about them.  Lets just say that we learned a lot and she has some excellent speaking skills... she may have inherited more then her body from her mother.

Max is still in love with this little guy, coming up with poses daily...

Max started a new sport!

Max decided to play basketball this year. He LOVES it. It is fun to watch him. He is getting more aggressive as the season goes on.

He made a basket on the second game. He was so proud and I was even PROUDER!
Besides he is so dang cute in his outfit.

We have good cheerleaders.  We have company all the time and they always come.  Ben, Jena, and Emmy come to most games..well the only one they missed is the 9 am ones. Which I don't blame them.  I need to take more pictures of the cheering squad.

someone turned 36.... and a baby brother turned 30...

So for Christmas, Brian got me a gift card to a salon and I got a rock star cut and color...It was done a few days before this horrible birthday shot was taken. It looks HORRIBLE. but I really do love it and wish I had a great picture to show of it. It takes about 3.5 minutes on a day that I wash it... and when I lose this last 41 lbs it will even look good. LOL

Anyway,  I had a great birthday, well I actually worked on the real day, but my brother Matt, sister Kate and her husband came in town.  Matts birthday is 5 days after mine so we like to celebrate together.  Kate made 2 different cakes... they were both to die for!

The Huntingtons joined us.

Ben showed off how easy it is to take a nap in his chair.. he really is asleep.. All this partying..

Matts look says it all....
