Sibling love

It is so fun because they are enjoying each other so much lately. Not that they don't fight..... Look at Max's very thoughtful face with the frog....I wonder what damage he caused after I took this picture..

Max

Max LOVES the vacuum and the carpet cleaner, odd, I know. So when we cleaned the carpets the other day, he didn't miss a second of it. And it was so loud he got to wear his monster truck earmuffs again.. they are what he wore to the show. The above picture is of him and Brian watching Utube, he is obsessed with monster trucks right now...

a wonderful parenting moment

So these and no other pictures do her black eye justice....but due to her lovely camera face, I can't ever get a good shot of her black eye... but I guess it should be documented and I have received texts, comments, and emails about it.... she fell down stairs at a park when Brian and I were near by but not close enough and not looking at her. She is fine, but it was a bad bruise and very swollen the day after... it is still here and it has been two weeks today. So yes we are horrible parents but have decided to just watch our kids more.. or we can lock them inside where it is safe...hmmmmm

We now say CHEESE..

gee, I wonder where this cheesy picture smile comes from??

Smarty Pants

I accidentally left this off the train post.... I wanted a picture of the kids in front of the train sign... but the sun was in their eyes... So they turned around and Max said, "there mom take the back of us so our eyes don't burn"

the obvious fix...who needs faces in pictures anyway...

Train Park

last week I was on spring break. So we tried to do something fun everyday, but it rained a lot and I got caught up with a reorganizing project (toy room) so we only really got out a few days. But we did have company at the beginning and end, so it was still a great break. One of the days was spent at the Train Park with the Huntington Family. It is a great park! There was a train to ride, great playgrounds, model trains to look at, a carousel, and a museum.
Here is Anna trying to put her arm around a very cheesy Lily...waiting for our train ride.

We ate a picnic lunch and enjoyed the perfect weather! The museum was also very cool, it was in trains... and short so the kids were not bored. One of the train cars was a old presidential car. Roosevelt and Eisenhower train car to be exact.
Here are the kids in the Mr. and Mrs. Presidential chairs...
It was a fun day. Max loves trains so he was excited to be on them. But funny, they spent more time watching the action outside of the museum then any where else at the park.... Why do we pay to entertain them? (Actually, this park is very cheap entertainment if you live close and are interested)

Uncle Ben and Aunt Jena visit

For those of you who know my family, here is our grown up Ben! Those who don't know my family, this is one of my 3 brothers. Ben turned 29 yesterday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! He brought his wife down to visit us last weekend. They are expecting their first child (a girl) in June. My kids love these two... this time they really loved them since they brought a favorite toy for each child... Max a new monster truck and Lily a new puppy...
Their trip revolved around shopping at great baby stores that are not in their home town. I love shopping and it is always but to shop for babies!! Saturday we went garage selling... this is me on the car ride home. We hit the SALE OF THE YEAR! I have never been to a garage sale that great, and i go often...i left with enough clothes for Lily that I don't need anything until she is 3...and i NEVER buy clothes at garage sales because they never look good but these were in great shape and so cute!! Jena left with bags full of clothes and lots of equipment! We actually went to that same house twice.... it was fun. We also went swimming that day, in an outdoor pool. It is funny to me but we have swam outside 3x's now...it is only march... (the pool is heated, it isn't hot here yet, it is perfect actually)

Here is the darling couple! Thanks for coming! We had a great time!

A Kids Heaven...

This is the MOST CREATIVE place in the valley that we live... We LOVE it!!! Sorry for all the pictures, it is just so fun!

Grandma and Grandpa Durst visit

We were so excited to have Brians Parents come for a few days this month!
We went out to eat, shopped, and didn't sit down the whole time they were here!

I had a final one day, so while Grandma played with the kids, the boys went hiking.

It is spring training down here right now. So we went to a Cubs vs A's game. It was fun. We sat in the grass and shared ice cream. It was a really nice day!

Lily is a ham and entertained our area of grass... she knows she is cute

Thanks for coming! We had a great time!
